Ayoyo!
His punishment was questioned by MPs, who asked whether a ten-day suspension was harsh enough.
Labour MP Frank Field said if such an 'embezlement' had happened in a Commons canteen 'we would have expected that person to leave that day.'
He added: 'I believe we should treat ourselves in a similar manner.'
The suspension of the Old Bexley and Sidcup MP came as No.10 and Justice Secretary Jack Straw backed calls for more transparency ove MPs expenses.
'I've never understood for the life of me why MPs are not required to say who they employ,' said Mr Straw.
'We are spending public money. Of course people should know.'
Mr Conway, who was accused of paying both his sons public money for doing little or no work, yesterday defended their lifestyles. The MP said: 'Young people will be young people. They have a right to a social life.'
Flamboyant Henry is a kind geezer, says pals
by Sarah Hills
CLOSE friends of Henry Conway yesterday rallied to tell the real story of the party boy now dubbed 'Hooray Henry.'
The tall blond has been in the spotlight because his father, Conservative MP derek Conway, was found to have 'misused' taxpayers' money by employing him and his brother Freddie as researchers. Mr Conway was yesterday thrown out of the Commons.
Henry who allegedly received £32,000 of taxpayers' money while at university, remains silent over the furore but his friends jumped to his defence.
Gail Downey, the co-author of his Weardowney Knit Couture book, said he did lots of charity work.
She claimed the 25-year-old worked for no fee to arrange a party for Sir Elton John's Aids Foundation last year, which raised £300,000. She added: 'Henry has quite exquisite brain; his knowledge of costume, art and architecture is quite beyond his years.'
She described him as the 'kindest person' when he acted as her wedding planner lasy year.
Stars including Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding have also backed Mr Conway. Harding's boyfriend night club DJ Tom Crane, told Metro: 'We love Henry to bits. I love the geezer and I trust him implicitly.'
Another pal added: 'Hen has been made out to be a completely different person. He's not the out-of-control gay boy who touts himself around.
'He's someone whose passion is making sure all his friends are happy. He;s so welcoming and has an infectious personality which lights up any dull room. He's the most genuine person I've ever met.'
p/s - aku rasa macam nak rehat sekejap laa. Emosi aku dilanda 'gales'. Aku kena buat psycho-analysis lagi hahaha. Perlu lebih menghayati buku Al-Mathurat. InsyaAllah, kejap jer ni, rasanya.
Tata.. take care.

Ahli politik di Malaysia ‘kebal’ di segi undang2 (betul ke ayat ni?), kalau terbukti pun boleh cari sesiapa yg sanggup dijadikan kambing hitam… pada yg Melayu Muslim mungkin dia org tu terlupa yg kita ni hidup bukan takat kat sini jer… Masa bertugas di daerah, bila timbul isu2 cam ni semua, boleh ada yg beri pendapat ‘kalau kita tak buat org lain pun buat gak’. Habis tu klu org tu gali lubang kita pun kenalah gali lubang dan masuk sama… GE dah semakin hampir, maka akan adalah bayaran2 utk ‘projek’ yg diluluskan… kita org yg kat finance ni mmg tension bila itu yg berlaku…
Mmg susahkan nak jadi cam Khalifah Omar Abdul Aziz kecuali bagi mereka yg benar2 sedar amanah itu beras sebenarnya.
Nak gi bercuti ye… happy holiday… Ni tengah musim jamuan limau…
salam

kalau kat negara lain ahli politik sanggup letak jawatan sebab itulah tindakan yang paling gentleman sekali, tak pun ada yang sanggup bunuh diri tapi kat mesia lain, ahli politik sanggup bermati-matian nak kekalkan jawatan.
Amanah memang sangat berat kadang2 rasa macam x tertanggung.
oh tak pergi jalan-jalan. Mengembara dalam fikiran ja :)
